I wish to welcome our moderator and express a hope that one can also post as many authentic pieces as possible as well as fakes. In the second instance, the posting of fakes or what some repute to be fakes should be accompanied, I propose, with an allegiance to decorum and fairness in debate and hence avoid the pitfalls of accusation and mistrust that otherwise make reflection about this material problematic. Might I suggest a third point: no one is in possession of absolute truth as concerns this material. There are perhaps more imponderables than certainties. This fact should NOT be allowed to become a hindrance to reflection and debate. When fundamentalism and dogmatism take hold, they suffocate these website and death soon follows.
Happy collecting.
I guess I'll be the first ...
I have only 2 fake caps here, both found in a fleamarket for 2-3 euro, so for some reasons I still like them
italian pattern camo cap
(the picture was taken with a flash, the actual colour is darker)
till here it might be still credibile ...
but the fake markings kill any chance imho
it is still a good cap for digging![]()
