Default Heeres Administration Alter Art visorhat

Here I got interesting restoring object. The Heeres Administration in Kriegsdauer hat, unfortunately it missed original sweatband ( it is included but removed, due the bad rotten stitchings) The visor is also with rough thread applyed, but it's looks like a postwar redone. This is a interesting- the hat has no bottom piping
Due there is a lot of holes on the insignia places, I think the better way to restore it with hand embroidered/cloth insignia. Shame this nice mid war hat is stripped.
    Thoughts about insignia to restore?

Dimas, I would lean more to the hat being a Customs (Zollbeamte) visor.

I would say that the cap is also a service cap rather than an alter alt as the peak is a fibre one. Also the eagle silhouette seems very large...perhaps a political one was previously in situ ? just a thought.

    Nice restoration project though.

    cheers

This cap is pre Third Reich. I did some research on caps without the bottom ring of piping because this one was on ebay and described as being a Coastal Artillery Alter Art Feldmuetze which it is not. I forget now the exact era of these caps but I think it's Weimar.
