this is a Waffen SS Croatian "Einsatzstaffel" NCO's peaked cap

purchased from Alan Beadle

The eagle is not Croatian. It is Czech.

Two questions. Are you thinking Slovak, not Czech? And second, didn't Croatian ES units use this as well? I looked in the book and it looks the same.

Hi Martin, I have only ever seen these described as Czech/slovak.

I would not buy this example as original. Not keen on the green underside of the visor on an SS related cap.

Sorry, but I think this whole business is fishy, a lot of flashy fake/repro/ reworked visors that are obviously fooling the new collectors -just read all the "Ohs and AHs" and "how much is it?" post on this persons threads. Tread carefully...

but if ade tells you it is fake then it is and he is a mod

I can also say that the skull a "SS 360/.." variant is. The eagle however looks to be a nice Hicke's design. I can also spot some little holes left of the skull which indicates that there was something else on that cap.
