Waffen SS M 40 side cap Feldmuetze

Here is interesting example of M 40 SS hat. The material is not an standard, but the hat's in that kind of shape and cloth is widely used in Estonia, and the same cloth tunics in Latvia. This one was pick up from attic about 10 years ago and was kept in private collection, unfortunately the previous owner wash it

Many of these caps had pins inserted in the top by the owners. Must have been a popular thing to do.

I'am sure that this is a wrong one, the liner is improper german overcoat's cuff lining... The stamps would say me more 56 and 1042 ( hard to recognize), improper for this cap. So, that is copy with original insignia...

very hard to tell this is a fake cap wool with good insignia with these pic...but I like always these pic !
