(WWII?) German Officer's Cap

I have recently obtained an old German Officer's cap from a yardsale that I just happened to drive by. My question is, Where does this cap hail from? What are the Markings on it? I don't think it is a Nazi cap, since it lacks the insignia. If it isn't, where's it from? And what time period?

Looks like bundesheer cap. I'm guessing 1980's

This cap was used by an enlistedman/NCO of the Luftwaffe branch of the Bundeswehr. I would guess it is 1980's or so.

This is a post war luftwaffe cap, i had one just like this dated 1968

That's where I went wrong....I have been looking into this side of collecting, got two NVA helmets and west German border guard helmets.....

I get confused very easily sometimes, ask anyone here!!!

I would imagine that Cold War stuff is going to skyrocket in the somewhat near future. I am going to be the old collector, 40 years from now, talking about "Back in the day, you could find boxfuls of German caps for 5 bucks apiece!"

I am not that optimistic about BRD items, even from as far back as the formation of the Bundeswehr in 1956. Unless named to a personality, or a General's tunic, prices have always been cheap.

What does have value is the DDR NVA uniforms from 1956-1960, when they used Waffenfarbe for their hats (after about 1960, all NVA hats were white-piped).
