2/4th Inf. Bat. slouch hat.

Gents, we had a military fair here in Western Australia over the two days of the weekend and I was lucky enough to pick up this slouch hat and also an original 2/4th unissued colour patch.

I've been searching for an original 2/4th colour patch for several years as I had an uncle who served with the unit in WW2. I really didn't like my chances of finding one but I got very lucky in that not only did I track down an original colour patch but I also found an original WW2 2/4th slouch hat still with the original colour patch attached!

I'm really pleased to have come across these two great pieces, the family connection to the unit makes them so much more special!
