Any ideas on this WW2 sheepskin hat?

I've had this in my collection for some time now but have no idea of its origin.
The label has an oval ink stamp which is indecipherable, however, does have an anchor in the middle of it. Any ideas?

I think ive seen this type of cap being worn in period photos of Atlantic convoy sailors
