I saw one of these tunics for sale a few months back, with if I remember correctly, rank chevrons with the "Motto" above them on the sleeve and though tempted to buy it I did not. Not sure if the sleeve badge is called the "motto" or if there is a correct terminology?

Any thoughts on this 17/21st Lancers cap...As others have stated , it's an other ranks dress cap for the late, lamented 17th/21st Lancers. I sold a virtually brand new twin to it on Ebay a few months ago, since I now have an officer's version.
    Be careful with that "motto"!

    Nice No1 dress cap mate.

Typical British army and their traditions. At the risk of causing a "diplomatic incident", it is a badge worn on a cap, therefore it is a cap-badge!!

17th/21st are not the only ones to call their cap badge by another title, 1RHA call theirs a "Cypher", (easiest and quickest way to wind my son up is to call it a cap-badge or call him a "Gun-Bunny" He's actually a JNCO Radio specialist in a troop CP and only works the guns when the "smelly stuff" really hits the fans.

Any thoughts on this 17/21st Lancers cap...Any thoughts on this 17/21st Lancers cap...My 17th DCO Lancers drum, along with a 17th/21st Lancers oficer's dress cap, and other ranks stable belt. Apologies for the poor photos, taken in haste, but I'm still a lousy photographer!

I have this one on hold whilst the seller prices the postage, it has the regimental buttons and is a Moss Bros example from the 50's according to the seller.

Looks like a nice one; I have a similiar cap, made by Herbert Johnson.
