hello everyone, just thought i'd share my latest acquisition, a 1943 dated 9th division medical corps hat.

Guys, can you help me with identification of my new bought slouch hat? Most interesting info for me: producer, and production period ( mid war, ww2, postwar production). Sweat band removed, pugaree very dry and easy for tear damage. Letters visible on the button: AUST CARI. Thank you for any feedback.

A nice typical mid and late war (WWII) slouchy with the correct CARR AUST studs in great condition.
Not unusual for the sweat band to go missing sadly.
Was there a colour patch on the puggaree?
Does an ultra-violet light show better the naming on the puggaree?
