    G'day All

A cap I've been meaning to show for awhile, Glengarry from a very good friend a former Recce in the South African Army during the Border War.
I rescued it from his lapa braai (BBQ) area so is in it's sleeper condition.

Really cool Glengarry Rene. What date does that make it, 1966 - 1989?
    Regards,

    Jerry

I would not have had a clue about that one unless you had said what it was! Interesting!

    Cheers, Ade.

This is a Glengarry of 1 Medical Battalion based in Durban, South Africa, and an amalgamation of 1 and 17 Field ambulances during 1981. The South African Medical Services became the fourth arm of the of the South African Defense Force in 1979, at which date the cap badge as illustrated on the Glengarry was also adopted.
