Article about: I found this hat yesterday at a garage sale .. i spotted it strait away as a early bush hat but has no date stamp. the hat seems to match British made jungle bush hate of the late 40s and 50

    I found this hat yesterday at a garage sale .. i spotted it strait away as a early bush hat but has no date stamp.
    the hat seems to match British made jungle bush hate of the late 40s and 50s. but could just be a camping style made one.
    has a very lite green to it dose not seem to be have dyed green... so just would like to see if anyone would be able to give me more of a idea of age and maker if possible. no information from seller that could help. thank you mark

    Looked at my British reference and it only has the 34 experimental type in it! I'd put my cards on 60's Malayan emergency period? Vent looks similar to US but not quite.

    Ok the vents on the reverse side are not very pressed as well as your example Rene.

    Just checking that you see in the first pic I post is a US boonie 69 vent

    These might be useful for comparison. from my collection we have an Indian made wartime example:
