British Officers Cap regiment identification

Article about: Hi all, i just purchased an officers cap online, it was described as Northumberland Fusiliers, however the side buttons don't seem to match that regiment. Can anyone help to identify the reg

    The seller said there was no date or manufacturer label, but it had an orange/brown sort of lining which is similar to other Herbert Johnson tailored caps i have had before, i just think it is hard to make out because of the celluloid cover.

    The cap arrived early January, i have been waiting to find a cap badge to match, here is the cap with an original South Lancashire cap badge.
