    Hello Gent's,
In my search for one of these, I am seeing WW2 AAF garrison caps in both brown and OD green wool. I want to get the right one for my uniform. So whats the difference??
My next question is about the cap device. I am finding some with the propeller and wings on a brass disc and another with the just the propeller and wings. Are these both enlisted or is the later an Officer's?
    Thanks

Hi Phil, by rights, the garrison/overseas cap was only worn with rank insignia by Officers. OD wool is usually worn by enlisted men. Green or "Chocolate" was worn by Officers only.

These are collar dogs which you are describing. Enlisted mens versions were on the brass disk backing. Now on occasion and against regs they did get put on caps. But I would not display a cap like that.

    Cheers, Ade.

Sometimes cadets wore the winged prop insignia on their
overseas caps - but Phil, an EM visor will look so much
    nicer with your uniform grouping.........!
    Regards,

    Steve.

I'm starting to think you are right. IT would look badass with one. I'm trying to see if I can get one at a descent price.
Thanks again for ALL OF YOUR HELP!
