    Default General Service cap

Picked this up today along with a BD blouse and both were sold together to the dealer, though there is no evidence that they belonged to the same soldier, but might have. Nicely maker marked and dated 1944 with 1944 "M" acceptance broad arrow stamp. It has the line of stitching to show where the badge is supposed to be located and has signs from two holes and other signs that it had a badge which has been removed.

A smart example, well done! This looks to be of better quality than the one in my collection, which is rather rough wool. Whats the significance of the visible stitching at the front do you think?

I added that info after you read the thread Douglas, it shows where the badge is supposed to be located.

Adding the link to the BD that came with it.

Good example. I like these with the nicer quality cloth.

    Cheers, Ade.
