    Default Identify this Dress cap

I recently came across this cap online. It has an ERII Royal Crest badge and Royal Household side buttons. From vague research I think it is a Leveť Dress cap from the Royal Household. Perhaps 1st class from the single row of scrambled eggs on the peak.

Does anyone have any thought? Michael?

    Best wishes,

Think I have seen something similar (minus the scrambled egg) being worn by staff at Windsor castle.

    Heres the female warden version

And the maleClick image for larger version.

Thanks Robin, that is very interesting. The cap does look similar. Perhaps it for a senior warden or someone higher up in the management of the castle.

However, i am still confused by the Leveť - Royal Household gilt buttons.

I would agree that the hat belongs to senior management level warden. The wardens at the Royal palaces and castles are members of the Royal Household staff therefore they would wear insignia and buttons denoting this.
