Hi, it has finally arrived.
Took a while to get here.
It seems to have been attacked by rodents.
Even in its condition its an honor to have one.
Always good to bring one over here, where they are very rare.
Cheers

Nice hat in a great size. Rich A. in Pa.
1969 Shelby GT-500 King of the Road
Knowledge is power, guard it well.
Cool hat, any sign of a date in it?
Regards,
Jerry
Whatever its just an opinion.
An iconic hat!
Congrats.
Likewise very interested if it can be dated?
Now mount an expedition to go find Pancho Villa or storm up San Juan Hill!!
Hi, thanks for the kind replys.
There are no marks on the remaining sweatband.
If there were maker marks and a date, they should have been located on the eaten part.

The original scout - not me, but Frederick Russell Burnham - would have been proud of that hat!
However, after some cleaning and with a help of a magnifying glass, i found these stamped letters.
Seems to be "U.S.F &Co".
If this was indeed the maker, im having a hard time finding information about it.
Maybe its no longer in existence? Anyway i cant seem to find records of it.
Cheers
Nuno
