NAMED original ww2 usmc p44 cap ??

hi i just bought this from a friend on ebay and i would like to know if this is original ww2 or post ww2 or a good repro
it came with some usmc service records that match the initials but i have no idea im new to this stuff heres some pics

Looks like it is all right it is in good condition, odd he put his initials on the outside which would not make sense if this were a repro
