    I can't help much here but take a look at the snap buttons these will be marked

    To me it was used for sandblasting things that do not fit a small sandblasting cabinet.
    Always looking for Belgian Congo stuff!

    Well the snap was made by Newey Brothers In Birmingham, Thanks Reneblacky, I never thought of looking at the back of the snap
    Perhaps it is some sort of welders mask???

    That is my thought, it appears that you can slide in a different lens, perhaps the really dark type for arc welding as well as the clearer type for gas welding etc...
