    Default RAF Beret Fighter Squadron

Since finding this great web site and realizing that there are many experts on all aspects of the militaria field I have decided to dig out some things I've had in my collection for awhile but did not know much about and ask some questions.

For instance, this RAF beret has a insignia on it identifying it to the 29th fighter squadron, I think. Does anyone know what planes this squadron flew? Spitfires, Hurricanes or something else? Also is this beret WW2. I assumed it was because it was in box of WW2 U.S. military uniforms I purchased at an estate sale.

I would appreciate any and all input on this.
    Thank you.

    Hi, Josey !

Beret and the pins are post war, and probably fairly recent.
The RAF badge is in a modern 'STA-BRITE' form.

29 Squadron had it's beginnings in 1915 with many disbandings and reformations
    along the way......

Flying DH2's and Neuport Scouts in WWI, Bristol Beaufighters and DeHavilland
Mosquitoes for night fighting during WWII, Phantoms and Tornado's during
Desert Storm, and as of 2005, currently flying 'Typhoon' aircraft.
