Article about: Hello guy's i picked this up today in a local junk shop, i am pretty sure it's ww2 era but this is not my line of collecting, it has the guys name in it "O'Shaughnessy" the peak ha

    Hello guy's i picked this up today in a local junk shop, i am pretty sure it's ww2 era but this is not my line of collecting, it has the guys name in it "O'Shaughnessy" the peak has come away slightly and looks origional, please could you give me any info whatsoever on who wore it and value, as i will be selling it to fund my dagger collection thank you in advance,

    Hi Ronnie, it is an RAF Officers service dress cap.

    Looks like a good wartime example. In the region of £125 to £150.

    'Walking out' or dress cap. I believe it is WWII era as well.
    Probably looked similar to this at one time.........

    Thanks very much guy's, the guy who sold me it also had the chaps medals, paperwork, and some personal belonging's, sadly all sold and split up,
    the only things he has left (from the same house clearence)are two ladies powder cases with the R.A.F eagle embelem on them, nice items but small damage to one of them,

    I have to disagree with Walkwolf on this, it's an officer's 'every day wear' Service Dress Cap, nothing to do with 'walking out' or 'dress'.

    Nice officers service cap and almost certainly ww2 period you lucky devil.
