    Default RCAF Officers Cap.........

    Hi all !

I've posted this cap on the Forum before, and thought it would be good to show it again.
A long-time neighbour of my grandparents and mother gave me this when he and his
wife sold their house in the 1990's. At a farewell social, for some reason the cap was
mentioned - he didn't want to throw it out, as their own son and daughter did not
want it. My late mother said: "My son collects that crap !"

One day I stopped by mom's house and it was waiting for me on the dining room
table- the very table I'm typing from now. This cap sat in a hat box
in a closet for over 50 years.........

    Thanks for the comments !

I went nextdoor to thank him, and the neighbour told me he was originally
in the Army, but transferred with a couple of buddies to the Airforce
thinking they might get sent overseas quicker. The war ended
shortly after, which is why the cap looks so new.........

    Steve.
