    Morning Gents,

    I want to share some photos of a pair of RCAF war time side caps and a cold weather cap that are a small part of my RCAF collection.

    I agree with René, especially like the "Yukon" style winter cap. My Great Uncle Sid wore one of these during his Air Gunner training in Canada with the RAF. I have shown a pic of him wearing it on the forum. He was also issued Canadian pattern BD.

    Ade or Rene, can one of you chaps tell me which Commwealth countries used black buttons as found on the Air Cadet side cap?

    G'day Gary
    I know Australia did, take a look at the rear of a button, if it has a Y and a number (I'm OS at the min and can't reference my gear) then the button is Aussie made

    Rene, I just checked the buttons and could not see any markings at all on the rear.

    Hi Gary, black plastic ones are British made I can tell you that much.
