Found this in an antique shop in sept, only $12, so I figured it was a good deal. It doesn't say USN inside, so would that mean it wasn't a USMC cover? If it is USMC, would they have used the same EGA as on the billed hat?

Not Marine, but a very nice war time pith helmet. A real bargain.

Very nice. Looks like it's in great shape, too! Mine says USN and has a USMC EGA, but doesn't have a date.

Thank you, I thought it might not be USMC, but at that price I couldn't pass it up. It's in really nice shape. I've always wanted one to wear, but I think I'll save this one and look for a hat device for it.
