Good original items Leave it in place as these go very brittle with age.

oh my f-ing god... when I bought my WWII Kahki visor cap, it had a liner just like this on the inside, I assumed it to be a shower cap, and threw it away.... why oh why? :*(

Oh man, that awful. I've seen some cloth rain slips, so you could probably find one of those, but I've never seen a plastic-type one for sale with or without a cap. I've learned from doing similar things to keep everything, even if I have no idea what it is or how odd it is. Sorry, man.
