    As I mentioned in another thread, I have this US Navy cap but have no idea of the date it is from. Can anyone inform me of how these are dated, from the label perhaps or from the construction used?

    My wife wore it when she was young so it must be from before the 70's I think. It has her name on the label and the part you can't quite see says size 7, but nothing else.

    Not a hat but a pea jacket with a similar contract number dated to the mid 60s!...

    I tried searching for contract numbers online but did not get a hit for this one, but it is likely to be 50's I think, unless someone knows better.

    Spot on guys the QM (CTM),which stands for Quarter Masters cut trim maker stopped in 1962 when the DSA(defence supply Agency)became the main supplier of all US Army and Navy issued items...............Jake.

    To be precise the (CTM) was introduced in 1958 with the change over of materials and finished in 1962 as stated above...............Jake.
