Article about: Greetings, Can somebody tell me what I have here? I think its an officers service cap, probably private purchase. Have to be WWII era but no date, and little knowledge!

    Looks to be a WWII era cap, but for enlisted ranks, with an officer's eagle.
    The correct insignia would be the enlisted circular disc, surmounted by a smaller eagle.
    You can view many examples on Ebay.
