General Patton might not agree! He hated them.

These have never been that plentiful, given the amount made, it took me a while to locate a nice one even in the 80's.

    Cheers, Ade.

Way better than my example, but I love wearing my reproduction cap it is the most comfortable of the U.S. hats imo. Nice size tag as well I imagine mine is a small or someone ran it through a dryer

Hope you do not mind me posting Rene, but here is a wool knit sweater that I think accompanies the "Jeep Cap" very well. This is a variation from the 5 button knit sweater and this version I think is referred to the "mechanics sweater"? There is an outline of where the tag was so this was not a "homefront knit" sweater.

could have been Steve McQueen wearing one in the "GREAT ESCAPE" that made me want one . They were 75 cents in the
1960's,...about 50 cents less than a real steel US WW2 pot, sans liner,....no idea of size,...but it fit my growing 6 7/8 head size just fine,....I WAS Steve McQueen when i wore it,.....
