USN pith helmet
Picked this up at the Hasbrouch Heights VFW show today,and i'm not really into pith helmets ,but this one appears unissued,and couldn't refuse it for 20.00 had a current Marine badge on it...any one know the year on this one by the contract #

I had one of these and had a conversation with Andy about it before he passed away. I believe mine had the same markings and it was dated from the 50s-60s based on the contract number.
From what I can find, you're looking at a February-March 1945 produced pith helmet.
