The Welch Regiment officers forage cap

Article about: A circa 1970's example of the officers forage cap for the Welch regiment, with Silver and Gilt badge and buttons. No sign of a makers mark or at least I have yet to find one.

Very nice cap, but I'm thinking that it dates from the 50's or 60's, as the Welch Regt. amalgamated with the South Wales Borderers in 1969, to form the Royal Regiment of Wales.

You are of course correct Bob and something I was thinking about after I posted this thread here. I even posted the same correct dates when I posted the RRW cap I bought recently.
