    Pierre i received the cap and my little book for badge and i got something else from the Library ,like you said it could be a 1953 as the crown design changed in from the Tudor crown to the St.Edouard's Crown. I am reading more about it now.

    Hi Frenchy, you have no worries: the badge on your cap is the "Kings Crown" pattern which was worn during WW2 and until 1953.
