And yet another slouch hat

I found this Akubra made slouch hat This company has been around since 1965 but I cant put an age to it or find out if they were under contract by the defence department to build for the mlitary.Or is it a straght civlian issue hat any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately Its not an army issue slouch hat
They are made for the civilian market they are sold in disposal and camping stores over here.
At a guess I would say its from the 1960s or 1970s

Well If you are going to have a civilian slouch hat an Akubra is deinately the one to have

I must say It has been well looked after though

I wear an Akubra hat every day-they are one of the best made hats in the world. This one looks to be fairly new and virtually unworn, from the looks of the sweatband ad the fur felt not being faded. Theyre great hats. William

You are right there Luke it is top notch shape for its age found it at good will couple couple of months back I would guess it has been sitting in the back of someones closet for some time. I did a little research on the Akubra William they are as you say very well made and very pricey I might add I was suprised to see them selling for $140-$160 US .
