Very interesting visor, and I think a very rare bird too. What exactly this cap is?

Hi

Its a for a specialist leader aka a sonderführer. They were civilians drafted into the army to fill a space were the military did not have a trained person available. They were given officer ranking but had not been on the officers course so were distinguished by separate insignia.

Not necessarily the ranks was established as early as 1938 I think.............they knew what was coming and started drafting specialists long before kick off !

Another real good example is the use if interpreters especially in Africa.
