1st pattern tropenhelm, it seems to have damage in its structure.
Otherwise the cloth would not look like that.
Please post a frontal photo of the Adler, it would help to determine the originality of the shield.

I like it, and well I have no idea of the value, since I haven't seen one like that before :P

It looks an original 1st pattern tropenhelm, though it has some structural issues as Nuno commented on, the squashed dome and the badly worn leather rim trim, but still a good one if the price is right. I think the eagle shield looks fine, but a good straight on pic would be good if possible to make that certain.
