Here is Trikotage of the German type in a normal black SS cap ca. 1938-1939. I do not know about your piece. The uniforms of the low countries in the Germanische SS

and, to quote Bob Coleman, the black cap was worn by all branches of the SS more or less until the war and in some cases beyond and so forth.

A cap for the Germanische SS echelons in Axis Europe is not an Allgemeine SS cap, per se. It is a Germanische SS cap.

I do feel this could be an original cap, from Holland or Belgium. Normally, I would expect these elements of the "SS" to wear German-made caps and uniforms, either "surplus" unused items, or even pieces that had been turned in for re-use by their pre-war owners. But I see no reason why local tailors would not have made these items as well, and this could be one of them...

Thanks to Arran and Bob Coleman. If Arran believes this might be an authentic Germanische SS cap, then I heartily support him.
