Article about: Hi Dave, got my book out on British caps. Several Regts wore all dark blue Coloured Field Service caps. But these would almost always have a pair of small buttons to the front. The tress typ

    A friend of mine asked me what kind of cap this is, but i have no idea,it looks like somebody stuck a heer visor eagle on it to me, i even wondered if it was a british side cap with pimped up german insignia, well thats my guesses out of the way any suggestions appreciated ,only pics i have, cheers Dave

    I have looked at it too , but can't help eighter.
    Any pictures of the inside?
    Could I use your pictures on a other forum?
    Not sure what it is but it might be related to ,foreign to Germany, NS organisations.
    Always looking for Belgian Congo stuff!

    Hi Dave, still not much wiser, but that looks like an inked number 7 to me, which is a British style size marking.

    dont know much on these chip bags but i think the way the braid slopes back downwards is very british dress uniform

    Dave...the cockade/roundal looks to be an Imperial late war one, double ringed officer with black cardboard base......
