Fascinating Thread that I'm just now catching up with...My jaw is dropping at these photos and fascinating insignia-combinations...I'm hoping to find a photo of a Luftwaffe Schiffchen w/metal eagle and cockade...
    cheers, Glenn

Also the last officer has a Heer eagle on his arm amd not an SS??
The feathers are angled and not stepped out & back.

The wear of Heer breast eagles on the left sleeve of SS officer tunics is not uncommon.

By the way, the officer in the last photograph is Heinrich (Heinz) Scherschel. He wrote a book about his wartime experiences ["Trotz Acht und Bann - Erinnerungen eines Nachrichtensoldaten der 8. SS-Kavallerie-Division 'Florian Geyer'"]. (I haven't read it, though.)

Second photo is very interesting , SS hat worn with Army officers uniform , and the SS collars shown look to be reflexive ( Latvian metal runes maybe ? ) Also great shot of a Estonian SS Trooper .

Maybe just the angle, but the skull's eyes do not appear to be drilled (or he has a light backing behind them) and the skull appears to have an Assmann style point to it:

Another one of those photos that sometimes confuse newbies.
Officer is a POW, and has stripped his eagle and cockade off his visor:
