Wow--I am seeing some great stuff here.
One of my faves is the red-top of the Reichsbahn, worn by platform supervisors:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Tony, I like your "main man", Herr Weber, too:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
This one is actually my favorite Reichsbahn visor. It is a mid-war piece. Band is black wool instead of velvet, which was allowed by regs. Sweatband is ersatz, and the finish is that later-war laquer that does not hold up so well.
Still, it has a jaunty shape, and the insignia still glistens:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”

JUST NOTICED THIS THREAD WITH THE RED TOPS AND NOTICED THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE CHIN STRAP,WERE THEY EARLIER OR LATER THAN THE ONE I AM POSTING...Dave H
Misc DRB insignia, to include the unterlagen for the bullion wings:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Very rare Ostbahn gray-top with some pics of feldgrau visors in wear:
(Don't know who owns this now)

“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
You do not see many Lubstein Kleiderkasse hats.
Here is one with the metal wings, and one with the bevo.
Later in the war many makers dropped the bottom ring of red piping, and went to a plain wool (or rayon) band, instead of velvet.
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
