Einheitsmütze M43? Please help ID

Hi guys, got a hold of couple of more items for you too look at. Concerned about the buttons as every picture that i tried research have different ones. Looks like it was worn extensively.

My ability to pick a M-43 might not be the best I like the cap I have seen originals with that type of lining at least and the Silk type. Do you think the eagle has been reapplied as it looks new compared to the rest of the cap? hopefully some of the cap boys will weigh in on the cap and eagle insignia. I am not too found of the insignia it doesn't look like a vet acquired piece I have but maybe it is just a variant. timothy

The term salty comes to mind.
The eagle trap seems a bit crisp compared to the rest of the cap although I do not see any machine stitching on the inside lining.
I think it is a good cap.

I think it is good with the reapplied trap.
A salty example that seems to show a shadow of where the original once was.
