    Default General Officers Visor

Army General Officers visor utilizing the white aluminum metal insignia utilized until 1943- nice gold piping with no mothing. the sweatband is still intact but the sweat diamond is gone to time. Insignia also reflects the Mountain troops Edelweiss badge.
    Any comments would be appreciated.

Horst--do you have any other photos, and can these be blown up?

The visor is well worn, the stitching remains where the sweat diamond was attached also the sponge/rubber under the front of the sweatband is very dry & brittle .

    Hello Horst,
do the orange crumbled parts in the picture of the inside of the cap stem from the rubber behind the sweatband?

Hi Horst--pix are too small--can you download full size photos?
Also, we need photos of all the piping joinders, and 360 degree pics under the hood.

Here goes again- hope that the system allows enlargement - Piping joiners are pictured and look text-book also interior stitching - for me it looks period.
Although the sweatdiamond is gone the stitching is visible , hat has wear but still nice.

When I look at this pic, I see a sweatband and lining that do not correspond with each other at all in terms of wear. When I carefully turn over a sweatband, I like to see what I would describe as a "landscape reflected on the water". That is, any marks on the sweatband should be some form of mirror image of what's going on with the lining. Where there is a fold or thread, any mark or impression should correspond. I see plenty of marring on the underside of the sweatband- where is the corresponding pattern on the lining? I don't see where ANY fold or thread is mirrored on the sweatband, so to me, they have been put together. I could probably go into more, but I'd really rather see MUCH better pics. Perhaps they would change my mind...
