The Genesis of the "Same Plane"?

Article about: by ErWeSa Plus the workmanship - I tried out cuts of caps with the "perfect" shape, yet when I sewed them, they looked disappointingly different. But one should never give up to do

You might want to check the cap cords - they are twisted Z wise ("reverse-twisted") - such cords did exist, but they were the exeption to the rule. The ones on your cap have a detail which make me wonder. You could check the width and the length and compare it to DDR (GDR) cords.

The cords have the typical metal sleeve at the slide, and feel cold when held to the cheek. I've kept them on it, as that is how I received the cap - and like you say, reverse-turned cords are not all that common. I haven't checked the width nor the length, as I am not familiar with how that could indicate Post-War/DDR made cords. What should one keep in mind when looking?

    Thanks, ErWeSa.
Appears it was a good decision, not succumbing to the temptation to change 'em out.
