    Default German Cap?

    Dear All
I'm new to this site and wondered if anyone could help. I was sorting my attic out and came across this cap which my uncle gave me 30 years ago which I think his dad got during the war. There are no markings on the inside and I was wondering if anyone knows what it is.
Hope this is in order and I haven't broken any rules
    Many thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum Shaun!
Although I am not an expert, it appears to be an original Heer overseas cap to me.

A very nice Heer (Army) enlisted mens cap. And straight from the attic too!

One thing to remember; if you want to start collecting or if you just want to sell this cap, don't try to clean it in any way.

    Hello,
It is a very early production of the Feldmütze 1934 modified 1935. I would say that it's been produced between 1935 and 1936 and both the Hoheitsabzeichen and the cockade are replacement. It originally had insignia on light grey and a soutache that may have been removed per regulation. It is quite unfortunate that it does not have any markings left, it should bear a maker's mark, a year of production and why not an unit marking...
    Thanks
