German Peaked Hat Political ?

Article about: Gentleman Can anyone identify this hat. Is it WWII German? No makers label or tag inside. All the wire/bullion work is very old and has that oxidized look. The inside shows age and much use.

    Can anyone identify this hat. Is it WWII German? No makers label or tag inside. All the wire/bullion work is very old and has that oxidized look. The inside shows age and much use. Could it be some foreign service to germany?

    It is a fantasy item--a fake from the ground-up. I would surmise it was used in a stage production of some sort. No hat of this coniguration existed during the Third Reich.
