Green 1st pattern Heer pith helmet

My latest purchase, 1942 dated and MM'd ITA.

Always wanted a green heer 1st pattern and got this from a friend for a good price.

I have always found the green tropical helmets and tunics to be the most attractive.

I am looking for one of these as well. I would also like a LW example in all three finishes. You are fortunate to find this one and it appears in very nice condition. It will add great colour to your display. Congratulations!

Nice example. Here is a photo my first pattern Heer recently picked up at auction. I have since added insignia. What did you pay for your example? If you don't mind - I am interested in the value placed on these tropical helmets and always like to compare the prices paid for them. Neil

Hi Neil,
I know what yours cost, with its Germany mark, missing its badges and plus tax.
Mine was was about 3 times what yours cost before the tax, price of badges etc are added to yours.
