grey SS peaked caps.

Attachment 807664In my trawling of the images over the decades. I have found a couple of other caps like this one, with the same combination of badges. I do not care much about the badges, but there is a species
of cap with the alu or zinc Zimmermann eagle and the Overhoff Totenschaedel.

My one and only grey SS has that badge combination. Here's the story about this cap.
This cap was bought back from the Obersalzberg area by 1st Lieutenant D. C. Watts, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. I can't prove this as I have no documentation.

It is a toss up at the moment between the grey one I found via this site or the early back officer's cap with the leather peak.
