    Default Hammaburg visor cap

    Hello

I would like to get some information about this manufacturer. They come from Hamburg but I don't know anything about it apart from this. I'm also a new collector and would like to know: is it normal there is no metal attached to the piping? All the visor caps i've seen so far have this, this one doesn't.. So this one is very 'bendable'.. But when I look to the materials, I guess this is a good feurloschpolizei schirmmutze..

    thanks for helping me

Your hat was made by Opolka & Muller of Hamburg. (They went by "Hammaburg")

These hats were used from the Weimar through the BRD, but yours appears period.
Most hats were made with the spring stiffener, but the owner (or collectors) removed them over time.
Now you have to get an NCO police eagle and a Reichs cockade.

found myself a nice second type, it is unmarked but I believe it is original. the esthetic value of some polizei eagles is amazing. Very common but nevertheless a feast for the eye
