Ive seen pics about 10 years ago, of the beach where the Tirpitz wreck is off shore were about 15 Krigsmarine jackets all the with the buttons ripped off by divers were left laying around, the idiots wanted some Souvenirs but the after 60 in the sea the moment the air hit them they wouldn't have lasted long. If your going to take some thing from the sea at least do some research on how to preserve it first.
Iv herd the local council up north Norway still to this day use a giant 16ft Armour hull section of the Tirpitz for flattening new road surfaces
