And, just to clarify...I'm not talking about a cancered out moth chuckwagon...but rather a normal condition visor cap..

Hard to say without any images.

A moth eaten dog of a cap that has lived in the rubbish bin and been played with by children will be worth significantly less than a cap that has lived in it's box since the war in a decent environment and looks like new.

As always, condition, maker, insignia, repairs, etc will make a difference.

95% of them are fakes, and most of those are high-end fakes--either ground-up or Frankensteins. Be extremely careful when purchasing Chappy visors.

Looks like transport piping to me- is it a dark purple under the overhang? I can see that the eagle has been moved up to accommodate the Chaplain's cross (note the old prong holes below).

Arran.........note piping color of transport next to Chaplain's visor........when i picked up this cap many years ago it lacked the eagle and cross......all the marks you see where there when i got it,moth holes and prongs from the eagle?...................Dave H

That is always the same problem with rare faded pipe.... medical or Pastor, panzer or Arty, Pz Grenadier or Jager....

First, cap is a nice salty cap, I would like to see your pipe in mode Autopsy...
