Heer enlisted mans schirmmütze

Article about: Hi everyone, this is part three of my originality queries for today. It's a pretty salty visor, but I think it's original. I hope it's real because I can get it for a good price and it will

I wonder if member BenVK could repair the moth damage. He is very good
    at mending/fixing material, especially caps.........!

    Nice cap !

Would be easy to repair but because of the position of the damage the eye would be drawn to the repair IMO. Your call either leave it in original "damaged" condition or make the repair...thats a debate in itself.

If the previous owners were smokers the cap may respond to being steam cleaned ....not professionally but with a hand held home use one. I use one and it helps take the top layer of dirt and crime off plus gets rid of that smokers smell and can "fluff up" the material to give the cap a better look. Be careful though and make sure you don't steam any of the leather as its dries it out and also cover the visor as this will also be damaged.

just a thought... hope it helps
