I Would Like to Know all I can about this Cap, Help Please?
Hello, I was trying to do research on this cap I received from my Grandfather which I believe was something my great-uncle procured and decided to keep while in the military. I tried doing some research on my own but came across this site while looking for information and thought maybe someone here could help me. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think based on the information I found on my own that this is a German Officer's Peaked Cap Made by Robert Lubstein (EREL) and a Sonderklasse? Some of the writing in the cap I can't read, maybe someone else can recognize it(?), but the name of the man who owned it was Adolf Marx.
I would love to know anything else I can about this cap, maybe even some ideas of where I could look to find out anything about the person it belonged to as well.

Guthrie--
It looks like the owner of your visor was the Fire Chief for Saarlouis, which is on the westernmost part of Germany. He apparently died in 1941. There is a nice overview of the history of the Saarlouis Fire Dept here:
Also, they would have switched to the police-green Feuerschutzpolizei during the 1939-40 period. This might be him in the officer's visor second from left:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
