I have found a few pieces that have really got me in military headgear. This was the first piece that I found and don't know anything about it or even if it is real. Any help that I can get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not WWII.
Post war with Nazi insignia sewn on in a very bad fashion. Sorry. Hope you didnt pay much for it.

I actually got this with a canteen for $15. Are there any websites that have a lot of this info so that I can try to learn about all of this. I would love to become more knowledgable on military uniforms from WW1-WW2. Thanks for the quick reply.
